Mr. Cooper is a lecturer, writer and business leader. Formerly Executive Vice
President and Chief Operating Officer of Helene Curtis, Inc., Mr. Cooper now serves on
numerous corporate and philanthropic boards.
A First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Mr. Cooper is an avid
student of military history. As an amateur historian and longtime activist in Jewish
causes, it is Mr. Cooper who years ago established a working relationship with the Israel
War Veterans League and with senior members of the Jewish Brigade for the sole purpose of
producing a documentary and a book about the Brigade.
Mr. Cooper is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He and his wife, Nancy, have
six grown children and live in Chicago.
