CONTENT
A critical look at Northwestern Memorial's old and decentralized campus with its logistics
nightmares and inadequate structures to house up-to-date technology leads off a discussion by
the medical staff, administrators, board members and patients that describes hopes for the
building of a new medical center designed to meet patient and community needs well into the future.
PURPOSE
This short video was used initially to help kick off the hospital's $100,000,000 capital
campaign drive to build a new twin-towered medical center. Later, updated, the video was used to
support fund-raising on an ongoing basis throughout the Chicago community. (A still later version,
The New Northwestern Memorial, chronicled the entire seven year process of building the
new medical center, and celebrated its completion.)
