  MATTHEW PALM From 1993 to 2001, Matthew Palm was a producer, director, writer and researcher at Chuck Olin Associates, during which time he produced, directed and wrote numerous documentary, commercial and corporate projects. Mr. Palm's final project for Olin Associates was working as director and co-producer of the hour-long documentary IS JERUSALEM BURNING? Myth, Memory and the Battle of Latrun. The documentary is a penetrating examination of the fateful battles of Latrun - fought during Israel's 1948 War of Independence - and offers up a challenging exploration of the myths those battles spawned...and what they mean for Israel today. |

Prior to Is Jerusalem Burning?, Mr. Palm co-produced and co-wrote the feature-length documentary film In Our Own Hands: The Hidden Story of the Jewish Brigade in WWII, and spearheaded the ambitious worldwide distribution efforts that followed the film's release. Mr. Palm also directed Healing Ground, Olin Associates' documentary about attempts to improve life in one of Chicago's gang-controlled public housing projects on the city's south side. The film aired on PBS in Chicago. Mr. Palm, a graduate of the University of Michigan who now lives in Chicago, spent several years teaching English in the former Czechoslovakia.
